Medium Frequency Smelting Furnace Melting Process Requirements

According to the characteristics of the crucible materials used, the melting process of the medium-frequency induction furnace can be divided into two types: the partial alkali crucible smelting method and the acid crucible smelting method. Meta-alkali crucible smelting method can be divided into the melting method and the oxidation method. The acid crucible smelting method is only limited to the melting method.

Due to the low refractoriness of the crucible material, the oxidation process can not be carried out. The alkaline crucible smelting method is the most commonly used smelting method. It can be used for smelting high alloy steel, stainless steel plate, wear-resistant steel, tool and mold steel, electric heating aluminum alloy, precision alloy, corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy, high-temperature alloy, and other types. The application scope of the acid crucible smelting method is small, and it is only limited to smelting medium carbon steel, chromium manganese nitrogen wear-resistant steel, high-speed tool steel, high carbon steel mold steel, wear-resistant steel, etc. Smelting steel must have high silicon content, without partial alkali crucibles such as Al, Ti, B, Zr, and other oxidizable elements. The smelting method is the way to conduct smelting in crucibles built with basic refractory insulation materials or tied.

According to the difference of applied raw materials, it is further divided into three smelting methods: the new upgraded material melting method, the partial return material melting method, and the oxidation method.

(1) The new upgraded material melting method applies the new material configuration to smelting all the returned waste. This type of smelting method is applicable to the production and manufacture of key commodities with high-quality standards. Because all new materials are used and cannot be matched with returned materials, the cost of raw materials is high and the corresponding cost is high.

(2) A part of the seasoning for smelting with the return material melting method consists of the new material and the return material. Among them, the structural characteristics and blending amount of the returned materials have certain harm to the smelting quality of the products. The total number of returned materials shall be effectively allocated according to the use of the equipment. The aluminum alloy raw material can be recycled by using the returned material, which can save energy and control costs.

(3) The raw materials of the oxidation smelting process are mainly carbon waste steel and alloy structural steel waste steel. Smelting shall be carried out according to blowing oxygen to help melt during the melting period and blowing oxygen to reduce carbon and restore deammonia after cleaning. The feature of this method is that carbon waste steel and alloy structural steel waste steel can be recycled. Suitable for smelting carbon steel castings, high alloy steel, etc. In addition, the use of oxidation can complete the dephosphorization and carburization of molten steel and reduce the phosphorus and carbon components in steel.

Induction Furnace Voltage

Induction Furnace Voltage The induced voltage of the intermediate frequency furnace often exists on the inductor coil, the furnace mouth plate, the water-cooled guide rail, and the furnace body bracket. So, what is the reason for the induction voltage of the induction furnace? Next, we will talk about the induced voltage of the intermediate frequency furnace. When the induction coil of the intermediate frequency furnace is working, when an alternating current passes through the coil, an alternating magnetic field is established in the space around the coil. An induced electromotive force is generated in the metal blank in the alternating magnetic field. We often regard the blank as a closed circuit with only one turn of the coil. When the induced electromotive force is generated, an alternating self-circulating circulating current—eddy current is generated in the circuit. Induction heating is to use the heat energy generated by this eddy current to heat the metal blank. The water-cool...

Advantages and Disadvantages of Electric Arc Furnace and Induction Furnace Steelmaking

Electric Arc Furnace VS Induction Furnace Steelmaking Comparison of advantages and disadvantages of electric arc furnace and induction  furnace steelmaking 1. The induction furnace heats up quickly and has high thermal efficiency. The heat is generated inside the charge (steel liquid), so the heating is fast. In the arc furnace, the heat of the arc after the material is cleared must be transferred to the molten steel through the slag, which is indirect heating. Thermal efficiency is poor. The furnace is in the shape of a basin, and a large part of the heat of the arc is lost through the furnace cover and the furnace wall. 2. The oxidative burning loss of elements in induction furnace steelmaking is less. Because there is no ultra-high temperature action of the arc in the induction furnace steelmaking, the burning rate of the elements in the steel is low. 3. In the induction furnace steelmaking, the composition and temperature of the molten steel are relatively unifor...
